Aplicação de Modelo de Custo Total de Propriedade (TCO) em uma Organização Governamental de Previdência Social - Brasil

Resumo

This paper presents a case study about strategic management costs and the use of a Total Cost of Ownership model on Brazilian government organization, comparing its findings with manager´s perception. The rapid evolution and the spread of information technology (IT) during the recent years are challenging both business and IT management to rethink the very nature of business and the strategic relevance of the total cost of ownership (TCO). The main conclusions point that the TCO may be a powerful tool to public managers to analysis IT investiments.
