Strategic Implications of E-learning in Quality and Productivity
Resumo
This paper intends to analyze the relationship between e-learning versus quality and productivity. The research is based on a survey, composed of twenty questions, sent to companies that are using e-learning. Some conclusions are as follows, with a confidence level of λ=95%:
- 73% of companies assume that e-learning increases productivity.
- 84% of companies say that e-learning decreases the time for the task execution.
- 65% of companies think that e-learning increases the performance quality level.
- E-learning increases the performance quality level has a mean value of xm=3.9, and standard deviation of s=0.92 (in a scale of 1-5, where 1=nothing, 5=strongly).
- 71% of companies’ opinions on e-learning depend on their activity. However such opinions are 86% independent of their geographical location.
- Global opinion about the e-learning effects in relation to seven factors are high, with a mean value of xm=3.9.
- The present research reveals that companies can be aggregated into four strategic groups, each with a distinct opinion on e-learning and its impacts.
