Discover Implicit Relationships Between Researchers Using Email Tracking

Resumo

The study addresses the issue of discovering implicit relationships between individuals in a community using newsletters. It starts by discussing the technologies brought by Web 2.0 and focuses on interaction as the core to achieve reliable results. Then, it describes the proposed solution and its architecture and discusses the concept of communities and its relation with implicit and explicit connections. Finally, the paper discusses Nano-Tera.ch case study where the solution was developed and evaluated in a sample of one thousand of individuals, as well as the statistical results and conclusions.
